Temporary Water Pressure Fluctuations – December 8-17, 2025
To comply with State water quality regulations, Carpinteria Valley Water District must clean and inspect our drinking water reservoirs every 5-7 years. From December 8-17, our crews will be:
· Draining and cleaning Carpinteria Reservoir
· Replacing critical valves
· Inspecting the fill line
· Disinfecting the reservoir
· Testing water quality before returning the system to service
HOW THIS AFFECTS SHEPHERD MESA & RINCON HILL RESIDENTS:
During this maintenance, you may experience temporary water pressure fluctuations for 1-2 days while we replace valves and take the pump station offline. The pressure changes should be noticeable but not significant.
During this project, please conserve water December 9-11.
Important: You will NOT lose water service during this maintenance.
We are committed to completing this work as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we maintain the quality and reliability of your water system.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact our Lead Water Treatment Operator, Lance Edmondson, at (805) 331-0235.
Thank you for your cooperation.
